Here's my Prose:
Stargazing
Every Night I look out my rusty brown window. I see the stars shining in my room to make a glimpse of light. I love the sound of the silents in my room and the bright glimpse of light shining on my long old white bed. I wonder if the stars will ever get closer so we can ever look at what they really look like. As I gaze out to the stars I see a bright light the light soon gets closer and even closer then the light blinds me and I fall into a deep sleep.
I wake up with a gasp wondering what happened last night? It might of been a meteor or even maybe with a thought of hope it could've been a shooting star. I’m going to investigate. I quietly crawl out of bed hopefully not waking up my parents. I sneak into my parents room. PHEW they have not woken up. I creep into the living room knowing that my parents are asleep I grab the computer and do some research on bright stars and meteors. As I do my research I realize that the walls are white and not blue and the floors are white instead of brown floorboards. I must just be still be waking up, so I decided to pinch myself to wake myself up more! “ouch!”. The walls and floors are still white. I scream and run up to my parents room hopefully this is just a nightmare. When I reach my parents room and give my mum a big hug I discover that my mum and dad are not in there bed, but I saw them before, oh this is turning out to be a big mystery! I get dressed and run out the door when I get outside it’s still night time. What is happening I wonder? I run all the way down the street to get further information on this I run into the super market people are freaking out! Everyone is screaming and babies are crying (well in fact babies always cry so this is natrual)! Then the light that blinded me last night or a couple of hours ago comes back and I realize it must of been a shooting star I gaze at like I always do every night out my rusty window. I scream and shout like the other innocent people. I run home with an unpleasant thought of what just happened. As I run home and open the front door my parents are in staring at the the stars with their wondrous faces. I run up to my room having a massive tantrum and fall on my bed at try to go to sleep. I fall asleep with a horrid thought.
As I wake up my parents are sitting beside me! “ you had one heck of a nightmare Lexis ” says my mum “you were screaming for hours” says my dad suspiciously. “ it was a nightmare, It was a nightmare” I say excitingly. I do not want to risk having another nightmare like that again.
So heres a little thing you should always remember:
“I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.” Sarah WIlliams, The Old Astronomer to his Pupil.
