ANZAC Day
Well on the 25th of april I went to the Leeston ANZAC service at 10:30am - 11:30am. First we had to walk down to the hall and when we got into the hall there were at least 2,000 people there. In the hall there were a few speeches and songs that we had to sing. After that we walked down the the statue thing that had all the names of the soliders that fought in the war and the ones that died from Leeston of course! And my Great Great Uncle George taiaroa was on their so we put a poppy in the box to remember and appreciate him then a couple of minutes later we found his cross and put a poppy in the ground by his cross!
And thats what i did on ANZAC Day.
